The 2023 volunteer handbook will be available online in the Spring.

Each volunteer will be responsible for covering two shifts, either pre-tournament or during tournament week for most positions. Some positions have additional shift requirements that will be indicated during the sign up process.

We ask you please call your committee chairperson as soon as you know you are unable to cover your shift. If not available, please contact volunteer headquarters.

Each volunteer will receive a shirt, a jacket, hat, pin, meals and an additional weekly grounds pass. Volunteer credentials will act as their ground pass for the week.

Complimentary parking is included for volunteers. More specific information on volunteer parking will be provided to registered volunteers.

Volunteer Headquarters will be located near the main entry gate. Your scheduled time includes an additional 30 minutes for check-in. Please report rain or shine and each day you volunteer.

Generally, volunteers are required to be 18 years or older. Younger volunteers may be considered depending on position and if they are volunteering with an adult. Contact Gail Perla, volunteer coordinator, at gperla@amfam.com for more information.

Yes. Please let us know as soon as possible if you will no longer be able to volunteer. All requests must be received by May 20th in order for refunds to be processed. Refunds will not be issued after individuals receive their uniforms. Please contact Gail Perla (gperla@amfam.com) with any questions.

No. All ticket sales are final.

Yes. Each volunteer will receive a volunteer credential that will serve as your admission pass for the week and we encourage you to use it. Volunteers should not wear their uniform when off-duty, so they will need to bring a change of clothes if they plan to spectate before or after the volunteer shift.
Please note the volunteer credential gives volunteers access to the grounds only, but not to other venues or restricted areas of the tournament grounds.

We will make every effort to accommodate your scheduling requests. Make sure to list your request in the “Work with or Committee Selection” portion of the registration process.

When you initially register to volunteer, you will select your top three committee preferences. We will do everything we can to accommodate your first choice, but some positions fill quickly. If so, we will then try to your 2nd or 3rd choice assignments. Your final committee and schedule will be emailed out in mid-April. Training material is available on the Volunteer registration portal site when you receive your schedule. Volunteers may also come to an in-person training in May located at University Ridge Golf Course.

The tournament will take place rain or shine and we will need your help, so please be prepared! In the event of any weather delays, your committee chairperson will provide you with instructions.

Volunteers are required to wear the official volunteer uniform during tournament week. Information on uniform pickup times and locations will be provided via email. Volunteers will be able to pick up their uniform in person on two specified dates in May. If a volunteer is unable to make the uniform pick up day, they will have the option to have the uniform shipped to them. Please note volunteer uniform pick up will not be available during tournament week.

At Volunteer Headquarters, the tournament will provide continental breakfast in the morning until 10 am. Lunch will be provided until 2pm. We recommend you have lunch prior to heading out to your afternoon shift.

Yes, you will be able to purchase extra uniform items. This option is available online upon registering for the event. Post registration and the week of, all purchases will be based on availability.

The goal of this event is to raise significant resources for the American Family Children’s Hospital and the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation. We hope that all volunteers will find value in raising money for local charities, getting “inside the ropes” to see some of the most accomplished professional golfers, as well as receiving a shirt, hat, meals, pin and weekly grounds passes for yourself and a guest.
PGA Tour Integrity Program
The PGA TOUR Integrity Program is intended to maintain integrity and prevent betting-related corruption in PGA TOUR competitions. Each volunteer is subject to the terms of the PGA TOUR Integrity Program Manual (the "Integrity Program Manual"). The Integrity Program Manual, among other things: prohibits volunteers from betting on the Tournament and providing inside information to third parties for purposes of betting on the Tournament; and requires volunteers to report any violations of the Integrity Program Manual to the TOUR. A violation of the Integrity Program may result in dismissal from volunteering for the Tournament, among other consequences.
