Bessie was employed as an insurance professional 9 years prior to joining AMFAM. She processed claims for hurricane victims during hurricane Bertha & Fran in Greenville, North Carolina in 1996. Bessie trained agents & staff, underwriting, service, work in auto claims & property catastrophic claims, prior to being an agency owner for American Family Insurance.

Bessie has been a resident of Salt Lake City, UT since 2000. She is originally from Laramie, WY. She has 3 children, Cassidy, Christian, & Caiden Porter.
