Micala began her insurance career in 2008 and has been with American Family Insurance in Lawrence, Kansas since 2012. She has worked in all aspects of the office before becoming an agency owner in 2020.

Micala grew up in the country near Topeka. She moved to Manhattan for college in 2004 and has also lived in Salina before marrying Tyler in 2011 and moving back to Topeka. They have twin daughters and a little boy as well as Lucky, their family dog.

Outside of the agency Micala spends a lot of time with her family and at the drag races. Micala started racing at age 8, she stepped away from the driver’s seat in 2013, but started back up again in 2021! Her twin daughters started their racing venture as well and her husband, Tyler, always keeps a busy racing schedule. “It’s a fun hobby we have been fortunate enough to be able to do as a family.”
